Police have arrested an Owensboro man accused of possessing child pornography. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:
Owensboro Police say a detective received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children identifying 37-year-old Matthew Howard as a possible suspect.
The OPD says its investigators and detectives from the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch executed a search warrant at Howard’s Owensboro home.
Police say the search resulted in the seizure and recovery of evidence of child sexual abuse material.
Howard was arrested and taken to the Daviess County Detention Center.
He faces ten counts of Possession or Viewing of Matter Portraying a sexual Performances by a Minor Under the age of 12 and two counts of Distribution of Matter Portraying a Sexual Performance by a Minor.
The OPD says the investigation may lead to other suspects and additional charges.
