Owensboro Police say bomb and shooting threats were made to Planet Fitness and Domino's Pizza

Police have arrested three juveniles in connection with bomb threats and threats to carry out shootings at two Owensboro businesses. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

The Owensboro Police Department says it received complaints of threats against Planet Fitness on Frederica St. for five straight days this month.

The OPD says the business received bomb threats, or threats that the caller would come to the business and shoot patrons.

Patrol officers responded each time to investigate.

On June 9th, a Domino’s Pizza shop in Owensboro received a threat demanding that they pay $12,000 or the building would be blown up.

OPD Detectives linked the calls and identified three male juveniles as suspects.

Police took them into custody, interviewed them, and transferred them to the Warren County Juvenile Detention Center yesterday (Wed).

They face charges including Terroristic Threatening, Harassing Communications, and Theft by Extortion.

One of the boys was charged last year with Shoplifting and Possession of Marijuana.
