Storm Threat Tuesday, Bigger Threat Wednesday

Heavy rain, high winds, hail and tornadoes all possible

After a line of strong storms moved through the Evansville area Tuesday morning, we’re keeping an eye to the sky for storms. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

The National Weather Service has placed the Evansville area in a “slight risk” zone for severe storms Tuesday.

The risk increases to “enhanced” for the region on Wednesday, when forecasters say a “significant severe thunderstorm outbreak” is possible.

The weather service warns of potentially damaging winds, large hail, and tornadoes.

They say localized flooding is also possible
where heavy rain falls more than once.
