Angelo Rios is accused of driving intoxicated in crash that killed Neal Vaughan

An arrest has been made in connection with a crash on I-64 that killed an Evansville man. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:

The Spencer County Sheriff’s Office says deputies arrested Angelo Rios of Evansville after methamphetamine and amphetamine were detected in his blood after the weekend crash that killed 66-year-old Neal Vaughan.

Rios was driving the SUV when it ran off the highway into an embankment and rolled several times.

Deputies said Vaughan was ejected from the SUV and died at the scene.

Rios and another passenger were injured.

Rios faces preliminary charges including Operating While Intoxicated Resulting in Death.
