The United Way of Southwestern Indiana has a new leader. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:
The organization’s board of directors has promoted Amy Mangold to President and CEO.
Mangold’s promotion signals the completion of a 12-month succession plan with the board accepting Amy Canterbury’s retirement.
The board thanked Canterbury for leading the United Way since 2016 and for a strategic planning process to modernize its funding model.
Canterbury also helped advance regional initiatives like Talent EVV, GROW, and the Community Health Needs Assessment.
Speaking about her successor, Canterbury says Mangold is more than prepared to lead the organization.
The United Way serves at the center of a network of partners and programs to improve the upward mobility of low-income and disadvantaged individuals and families in Vanderburgh, Warrick, and Spencer Counties.
