Police have arrested an Evansville man nearly two years after a warrant was issued for his arrest on charges of child molesting. WNIN’S John Gibson reports:
A police affidavit states 31-year-old Elmer Salazer-Hernandez is being held at the Vanderburgh County jail.
Hernandez’ bond was set at $100,000 in May 2022, when he was charged with two felony counts of child molesting.
The affidavit states a 14-year-old girl told a forensic interviewer at Holly's House that Hernandez had sex with her at least three times.
The legal age of consent in Indiana is 16.
Hernandez was scheduled to appear in Vanderburgh Circuit Court this (Wed) afternoon.
