Henderson’s police chief has announced his resignation. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:
Chief Sean McKinney is stepping down because of family health issues.
McKinney is taking a leave of absence but will remain with the Henderson Police Department and serve as a school resource officer.
In a release, McKinney said he’s enjoyed his time as Police Chief and is proud of the work the department has done.
He also says he looks forward to seeing the Henderson Police Department “move forward” and he anticipates “remarkable police work from our officers.”
There’s no word on who will replace McKinney as chief.
