SWAT Team Called to Drug Arrests

EPD: 3 drug suspects were arrested at 2 locations

A police SWAT team was called in for the arrests of three drug suspects. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

EPD Sgt. Anna Gray says the SWAT team assisted the EPD Street Crimes Unit, the Evansville-Vanderburgh Joint Drug Task Force, and the DEA during Friday’s arrests in two locations.

46-year-old Franoties Starks faces two counts of Dealing Methamphetamine.

47-year-old Antonio Morris was also arrested for Dealing Meth, as well as Possession of a Firearm by a Serious Violent Felon and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

And 18-year-old Michael Wright was arrested for Battery, Intimidation with a Deadly Weapon, and Dealing Marijuana.

There was no word of any resistance.

Gray says detectives recovered meth, digital scales, two firearms, and a large amount of cash.

Police took all three suspects to the Vanderburgh County jail.
