Arson is suspected in a weekend house fire in Evansville. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
Firefighters were called to 5221 Warren Drive Sunday morning after a neighbor called 911 and reported smoke and flames coming from the rear of the house.
The first crew on the scene found smoke coming from the roof and flames from the rear of the structure.
Firefighters entered the burning house through the rear door and encountered a large amount of belongings inside.
Division Chief Mike Larson says it took firefighters about 30 minutes to extinguish the fire and no injuries were reported.
Larson says there was an apparent electrical fire at the same house last month and police were requested for an arson report.
The exact cause of the fire is under investigation.
