A jury has convicted an Evansville man of child molesting and incest. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:
Vanderburgh County Prosecutor Diana Moers says jurors found Timothy W. Vaughn guilty of the felonies after a two-day trial.
Vaughn was arrested in 2023 when Holly’s House conducted a forensic interview with a child who said Vaughn had molested them years earlier.
The prosecutor says Evansville Police verified the dates, location, and descriptions from the victim, leading to charges against Vaughn.
Moers called the victim a “brave survivor” who came forward to tell their story.
Magistrate Kelli Fink scheduled Vaughn’s sentencing for March 8th in Vanderburgh Circuit Court.
He could face 20-to-40 years for the Child Molesting conviction and 2–to-12 years for the Incest verdict.
