Two Gibson County men have been arrested after a number of guns were stolen from vehicles in the Evansville area. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office says 33-year-old Arsenio Joe Smith of Princeton and 34-year-old Corey Steven Hooker of Fort Branch face multiple charges.
Smith is accused of stealing firearms, mostly from unlocked vehicles, and selling some of them to Hooker.
The sheriff’s office says Hooker is a convicted felon and is on parole for firearm related crimes.
Sheriff Noah Robinson says the multi-agency investigation led to the recovery of six stolen guns.
