Driver Hit by Gunfire on West Lloyd

EPD: The incident happened early Sunday morning near the Lloyd and Lemcke

Evansville Police are investigating a shooting that happened on the West Lloyd Expressway. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

Officers responded to a report of shots fired near the Lloyd and Lemcke Ave. just after midnight Sunday.

The caller was inside a vehicle and told Central Dispatch that the driver had been shot.

Officers arrived on scene and found the vehicle pulled over on the Lloyd.

They found a man inside the vehicle who been wounded in the head.

EPD Sgt. Anna Gray says the victim was alert, conscious, and taken to a local hospital.

Gray says the victim did not provide any suspect information and no arrests have been made.
