Police have arrested two men accused of making and selling “machine gun conversion devices.” WNIN’s John Gibson has more:
Evansville Police say the devices convert Glock-style pistols and some rifles into fully automatic weapons -- and they can be made using a 3D Printer.
EPD Sgt. Anna Gray says an investigation by the Vanderburgh County Crime Gun Intelligence Center led detectives to Antonio Carey and Marquel Payne.
Gray says a search warrant was obtained for a U-Haul trailer that Cary was inside.
She says they found items including a 3D printed suppressor, 9 mm ammunition, and unfinished parts for machine gun conversion devices – or MCD’s.
Gray says officers found more such devices at two addresses associated with Carey and Payne, along with illegal drugs.
Carey and Payne face numerous charges.
