3rd Arrest Made in Warrick Animal Control Case

WCSO
Jamie Hubiak, 53

Jamie Hubiak, 53, of Newburgh is accused of using the agency to profit in the sale of dogs

The investigation into misconduct at Warrick County Animal Control has led to another arrest. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:

Indiana State Police say 53-year-old Jamie Hubiak of Newburgh surrendered seven black poodle puppies to Animal Control in January of last year.

The ISP says Hubiak, who owns a pet grooming business in Evansville, had the puppies vaccinated and then re-adopted them on the same day.

Police say after that, the puppies were sold at her business for $350 each.

When an animal is surrendered to Animal Control, it becomes property of Warrick County, so police say Hubiak profited more than $2,400.

The ISP says since 2019, Hubiak has adopted more than 300 animals from Warrick Animal Control and then sold them at her business.

The veterinary services were paid for by either Warrick County Animal Control or Warrick Animal Guardian.

Police arrested Hubiak yesterday (Mon) afternoon and then she posted bond.

Police arrested former animal control supervisor Danielle Barnes last month.

Another animal control employee, Susan Broshears of Boonville, was arrested last week.
