A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for areas south and east of Evansville

Another round of snow and single-digit cold is headed our way. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for areas south and east of Evansville, including Warrick, Spencer, Henderson, and Daviess counties.

A wintry mix of rain, sleet and snow is expected to move in this afternoon and tonight with mostly light accumulations – especially in the immediate Evansville area.

More significant accumulations are possible south and east of Evansville.

The precipitation will usher in another cold blast with sub-freezing highs and single digit lows -- with subzero wind chills.

Forecasters say warmer air and chances for rain will move in next week.
