The EPD says U.S. Marshalls found Christopher Boyd Jr. in Georgia Thursday and took him into custody.

Boyd was wanted for the shooting death of 34-year-old Jerry Hale in the 400 block of E. Riverside Dr. on New Year’s morning.

The EPD thanked a number of police agencies for tracking down Boyd, who faces a murder charge and will be brought back to Evansville.

Police say a second individual was arrested last week in connection with the investigation.
