Warrick commissioners say the decision should reassure voters

An election lawsuit that was filed against Warrick County has been dismissed. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

Sarah Eller and Danielle Hudson filed the suit in September 2022 alleging fair elections require paper ballots.

Their suit asserted electronic voting machines were subject to tampering or other manipulation.

But Warrick County Commissioners say U.S. District Judge Richard Young dismissed the suit due to “a lack of standing.”

The commissioners and the county’s election board say they maintain confidence in the security and accuracy of the electronic voting system used in Warrick County, as well as in the vendor that provides election support for each election.

They say the dismissal should also reassure voters.
