Two people who were injured in a head-on crash in Posey County are expected to face charges. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:
Police say 36-year-old Timothy Biggerstaff of Norris City, Illinois was driving a car eastbound on Indiana 62, west of Mt. Vernon, early Friday morning when he crossed the center line.
The car hit with a westbound semi.
Officers said they could smell marijuana coming from Biggerstaff’s car, and found edibles, meth, used glass pipes, prescription pills, marijuana, and marijuana wax inside the vehicle.
Police also say they found a semiautomatic rifle in the car.
Biggerstaff and his passenger, 23-year-old Alyssa Lovell of Duquoin, Illinois were taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police say Biggerstaff and Lovell will be charged when they’re released from the hospital.
