Evansville Police continue to investigate an assault and a stabbing on the city’s riverfront. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:
Officers were dispatched to the Four Freedoms Monument at about 9:30 Thursday night.
EPD Sgt. Anna Gray says the reporter said he had been assaulted so he stabbed the attacker.
Gray says officers began life-saving measures on the stabbing victim until AMR arrived and took him to a local hospital for more treatment.
His name was not released.
She says the reporter stayed on the scene and cooperated with officers, and no arrests were made.
