CenterPoint Energy customers have an opportunity to say what they think about the company’s latest request to raise rates. WNIN’s John Gibson has a preview:
The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission will conduct a field hearing tonight (Wed) at Old National Events Plaza in Downtown Evansville.
The session begins at 6 p.m. in the Locust Room.
Customers have the opportunity to comment directly to members of the commission about CenterPoint’s five-year electric plan.
It calls for monthly increases totaling more than $42 by 2028 for the average residential electric bill.
CenterPoint says the increases will pay for needed projects.
Written comments about the plan can be made to the Office of Utility Consumer Counselor through Friday.
