Authorities are looking for the thieves who broke into an ATM on Evansville’s West Side early Thursday. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to Heritage Federal Credit Union at 5343 Pearl Dr. at 4:55 am for an ATM alarm.
The sheriff’s office says deputies discovered thieves had gained access to the outdoor machine and had already fled the scene.
It’s not clear how much money may have been stolen.
Deputies established a perimeter and a K-9 tracked led them to a nearby parking lot, where the track ended.
Deputies found a stolen vehicle at the scene that was used to help break in to the ATM.
That vehicle was towed to the Sheriff’s crime scene garage.
In a release, the sheriff’s office said there were no suspects and the investigation continues.
