A Boonville man is dead and an Evansville man is in jail after a stabbing. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

Evansville Police say it happened early Sunday at a home in the 1000 block of Cherry St., near Kentucky Ave.

The EPD says the suspect and the victim knew each other, and were hanging out together when an argument turned physical.

Police say the suspect, 35-year-old Devin Clements, pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim, identified as 50-year-old James Nalley of Boonville.

Nalley was taken to a hospital and went directly into surgery but succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

Clements is charged with Murder and is jailed at the Vanderburgh County Confinement Center.
