A woman found dead inside a vacant house in Evansville earlier this month has been identified. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:
The Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office says 45-year-old Shanay Michell Hunt was found deceased in the house in the 1000 block Harriet St.
Coroner Steve Lockyear says Evansville Police continue to investigate Hunt’s death.
Autopsy results are pending.
Hunt’s remains were found one day before another body was found in a vacant house about ten blocks away.
The coroner said the body of 39-year-old Derek Clark was found in the 200 block of Read St.
Lockyear said an autopsy was conducted and the manner and cause of Clark’s death are pending toxicology results.
There was no word of foul play in either of the cases.
