Marcus Deason, 41, is charged with Arson after the blaze at Storage Express, off Green River Road

A man faces an arson charge in connection with last week’s storage facility fire on Evansville’s East Side. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

Authorities say 41-year-old Marcus Deason was arrested after the blaze at Storage Express in the 4800 block of Tippecanoe Drive.

Evansville Fire Department Division Chief Mike Larson said the fire damaged 20 storage units at the complex.

It took firefighters about an hour to extinguish the fire.

No one was injured and two adjacent storage buildings were undamaged.

Police were called to the scene for an arson report, which led to Deason's arrest.
