Evansville authorities are investigating the recent discovery of two bodies inside abandoned houses. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:
The Vanderburgh County Coroner says the body of 39-year-old Derek Clark was found inside a house in the 200 block of Read St. last Saturday.
Coroner Steve Lockyear says an autopsy was conducted and the manner and cause of Clark’s death are pending toxicology results.
A day earlier, the body of an unidentified female was found inside an abandoned house in the 1000 block of Harriet St.
Lockyear says like Clark, an autopsy was conducted and the manner and cause of death are pending the result of toxicology tests.
Authorities are working to positively identify the female victim.
There’s no word of foul play in either of the cases.
