A woman is dead and a man is in custody after a car crash in Posey County. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:
The car was found in a ditch on State Road 66 at Bluegrass Road -- between Blairsville and Parker’s Settlement -- Monday morning.
The Posey County Sheriff's Office says a female passenger was trapped in the car and died at the scene.
Her name has not been released yet.
The driver, 35-year-old Dustin Ethan Broad of Spotsville, Kentucky, was able to escape the vehicle and was taken to a hospital.
Broad was treated, released, and then taken to the Posey County Confinement Center on preliminary charges including driving while intoxicated causing death and driving with a suspended license.
The Sheriff’s Office said Broad also had several active warrants from Vanderburgh and Warrick counties.
