No charges have been filed after a semi struck and killed a woman in Henderson. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:
Kentucky State Police 66-year-old Deborah Shearer of Henderson walked in front of the tractor-trailer Friday morning near the intersection of Green and Second streets, and the truck left the scene.
The KSP says the driver was unaware that the truck had hit Shearer and continued to a nearby destination.
Police say officers located the driver “a short time later."
Shearer was pronounced dead at the scene and the KSP said it did not expect to seek charges against the truck driver.
The KSP described the investigation as "ongoing."
The probe shut down the busy Henderson intersection for more than two hours.
