An Evansville girl is dead after apparently drowning in a Warrick County lake. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:
Warrick Central Dispatch received a 911 call Saturday evening about a possible drowning in the 7000 block of Yankeetown Road.
The sheriff’s office says Boonville Fire Department divers recovered a body from the lake.
Emergency responders attempted life-saving measures but were unsuccessful.
The victim was identified as 13-year old Evyana Dixon of Evansville.
The lake was reportedly near the home of a friend of Dixon’s.
The Sheriff's Office says the investigation continues.
