Sherry Gentry, 52, of Holland died in the accident in Posey County

Authorities have released the identity of a road construction worker who was killed in Wadesville on Friday. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:

52-year-old Sherry Gentry of Holland, Indiana died in the accident.

The Posey County Sheriff's Office said a dump truck apparently backed over Gentry in a construction zone on State Road 66 near Springfield Road.

First responders performed life-saving measures, but Gentry died at the scene.

The truck driver, 54-year-old Jerry Williamson of Evansville, was taken to Deaconess Hospital for what the sheriff’s office called “investigative purposes."

There was no word of any charges.

The sheriff’s office says it continues to investigate the incident with assistance from Indiana State Police.
