Vanderburgh County Democrats have chosen a new Pigeon Township Trustee. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:
Democratic precinct committee members who live in the township selected Ruby McGlown as the trustee.
McGlown topped two other candidates in the committee vote on Saturday.
She has served on the township’s advisory board for several years.
The trustee position opened up when Mariama Wilson announced she would resign at the end of June.
Wilson is accused of scheming to steal at least $19,000 intended for the township's homeless shelter.
She faces federal charges of wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
