A man has been taken to a hospital after being shot by Evansville Police. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
It happened Tuesday afternoon in the 1500 block of East Indiana Street.
EPD Sgt. Anna Gray said two officers on patrol recognized a suspect who had a felony warrant for his arrest.
Gray said the officers shouted commands at the suspect, but he reportedly reached for a weapon inside a vehicle.
Both officers fired their weapons.
Gray said the wounded suspect was conscious and breathing when taken to a hospital.
There was no word on his identity or the names of the officers involved.
