The discovery of a body at a popular wildlife area in Warrick County is being investigated as a homicide. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:
Indiana Conservation Officers say the body of 27-year-old Manuel Eduardo Heaton of Evansville was found in the Bluegrass Fish and Wildlife Area, east of I-69, on Saturday.
The Department of Natural Resources and the Warrick County Sheriff’s Office are investigating Heaton’s death as a homicide.
His remains were found by a passerby in the area of St. Johns Road and Kansas Road.
There’s no word on the cause of Heaton’s death. An autopsy was to be scheduled.
Anyone with information on the case is urged to contact the DNR or the Warrick County Sheriff’s Office.
