Authorities are investigating a wrong-way crash on I-69 in Gibson County. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
It happened at about noon Thursday, north of State Road 68.
Reports from Gibson County Dispatch indicated a vehicle driving the wrong way hit another vehicle that overturned and caught fire.
The wrong-way driver reportedly drove away after the crash.
Reports indicated the driver of the vehicle that burned was able to get out and suffered minor injuries.
Indiana State Police stopped the suspect vehicle a short time later on State Road 68. The driver was reportedly impaired.
There’s no word on the names of the suspect or the victim.
The crash forced the closure of northbound I-69 for more than an hour.
