A jury found Brandon Artis guilty of killing and robbing Trey McGillicuddy, and threatening a woman and her child

A jury has convicted an Evansville man of killing a man while stealing drugs and cash in the presence of a woman and three kids. WNIN‘s John Gibson reports:

The Vanderburgh County Prosecutor’s Office says jurors convicted Brandon Artis of shooting and killing Trey McGillicuddy last August.

Police said Artis shot McGillicuddy in front of Sessily Bruner and her children.

He was also accused of pointing his gun at Bruner and her daughter and demanded Ms. Bruner load up bags of marijuana or he would shoot the child.

The jury found Artis guilty of murder, armed robbery, and two counts of intimidation, along with other charges.

He could face a habitual offender enhancement when Judge Robert Pigman sentences him April 12th in Vanderburgh Superior Court.
