A half dozen of the multi-state arrests were in Owensboro

Police have arrested seven people on drug charges in western Kentucky. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

The Owensboro Police Department says the arrests were part of a months-long investigation called “Operation Short Circuit” involving local, state, and federal agencies.

Six of the search warrants were served in Owensboro and one in Hawesville, all on charges of Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Distribute more than 500 grams of Methamphetamine.

The OPD said authorities seized several pounds of meth, fentanyl, cocaine, marijuana, and firearms.

Suspects were also arrested in Florida, Georgia, and Maryland.
