Authorities say an Evansville woman is dead after being hit by a van in northern Vanderburgh County. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:
The Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 63-year-old Faith Georges.
She died at Deaconess Midtown Hospital after being hit in the 11,600 block of Sawmill Drive Thursday evening.
The cause and manner of Georges’ death is pending an autopsy and toxicology results.
The sheriff’s office says the person who struck Georges was driving a Chevy van.
It’s not clear if the driver will face any charges.
