Authorities have released the identity of a young Evansville man who died in a crash in northern Vanderburgh County. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:
The Coroner’s Office says 19-year-old Dakota Lee Hammock died in Thursday's crash on Old Princeton Road.
Hammock’s vehicle ran off the road into a ditch, and ended up submerged in water.
Crews attempted to rescue him but Hammock was pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy was scheduled for Friday.
The cause and manner of Hammock’s death was pending.
