METS to Offer Free Bus Rides on Election Day

METS

Rides are free all day Tuesday

METS will offer free bus rides on Election Day. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

The City of Evansville says the free bus fares on Tuesday will not only help people get to the polls but also promote the use of public transportation.

In a release, the city said METS invites everyone -- especially those who have never ridden a METS bus or those haven’t ridden in a while, to take a trip or two on public transportation.

The release says riding the bus eases traffic congestion and overall emission output with fewer cars on the roads. It also reduces the overall cost per trip.

Indiana voters are electing county officials, state legislators, and members of congress.
