A Henderson woman is dead after being struck by a hit-and-run driver. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:
Henderson Police say 24-year-old Sierra Powell was trying to cross S. Green St. in the 300 block at about 9:15 Wednesday night when she appeared to have a medical issue.
Witnesses told police Powell fell into the roadway and moments later was hit by a vehicle.
First responders found Powell deceased. The HPD says the driver left the scene.
Police say the driver later contacted police after seeing news of the incident.
The driver’s name was not released and there was no word of an arrest in the case.
