Woman Accused of Impaired Driving in School Zone

File

ISP: Winslow woman was drunk and high

Police arrested a Winslow woman accused of drunken driving in a school zone. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

Indiana State Police say a trooper was patrolling the school zone at Pike Central Wednesday afternoon when he observed the driver of a pickup truck disregard the stop sign on SR 61 at SR 56.

Police stopped the driver and identified her as 37-year-old Anna Watson.

The ISP says Watson displayed signs of impairment and failed field sobriety tests.

Police say further tests revealed she was under the influence of alcohol and methamphetamine.

Watson was arrested and taken to the Pike County Jail.

She faces a charge of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated with a Prior Conviction, a Level 6 Felon.
