Evansville’s Main St. will go to the dogs this weekend. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:
The Downtown Evansville Economic Improvement District invites you to bring your canine friends to the third annual Dog Day this Saturday.
Event activities will take place on Main Street between 2nd and 4th streets from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Activities include a dog agility course, dog adoptions, a “Bone Bar” with free bones, free bandanas, free dog nail trimmings, brushings, ear cleanings, and massages, a cuddle station, a photo portrait station, and photo points for guests and their dogs.
Organizers say quantities of bones and bandanas are limited.
Local animal nonprofits are taking part as are vendors selling dog-related products.
Main St. businesses will display signs identifying their status as dog friendly. You can learn more at DowntownEvansville.com/DogDay.
