Authorities have released the identities of the three people killed in Wednesday’s house explosion in Evansville. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:
The Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office says 29-year-old Jessica Teague died at the scene of the blast in the 1000 block of N. Weinbach Ave.
43-year-old Charles Hite and 37-year-old Martina Hite were taken to local hospitals where they were later pronounced dead.
At least one other person was treated at a hospital.
Evansville Fire Chief Mike Connelly announced Thursday that crews did not find any more victims after conditions at the scene allowed a secondary search.
Multiple agencies are trying to determine the cause of the blast, including the ATF and the Indiana Fire Marshall’s Office.
CenterPoint Energy says it is “working closely” with the agencies as the investigation continues.
The blast damaged or destroyed 39 structures and left at least eleven houses uninhabitable.
The American Red Cross was helping more than a dozen residents affected by the explosion.
