The Owensboro Police Department says its officers have confiscated dozens of guns this year. WNIN’s John Gibson’s has the story:
Since January 1, the OPD says it has seized more than 120 firearms related to criminal investigations, resulting in numerous charges.
Those charges include four counts of murder and two counts of Attempted Murder of a Police Officer.
The OPD said more than 20 juveniles and 30 adults have been arrested this year in criminal cases involving firearms.
In a release, Police Chief Art Ealum said the seizures and arrests are a “clear indication” of officers and detectives working tirelessly to make the community a safer place.
