Four-Year-Old Boy Killed on Warrick County Highway

File

The early morning tragedy killed Braxton Freeze of Princeton

A four-year-old boy is dead after being hit by a vehicle in Warrick County. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:

The sheriff’s office says the tragedy happened at about 4:00 Monday morning on Highway 66 near Outer Lincoln Avenue.

The child was pronounced dead at the scene and was identified as four-year-old Braxton Freeze of Princeton.

The investigation revealed that Braxton was staying with his mother and her boyfriend at a nearby business and had wandered out of the business during the night while the adults were sleeping.

The boy apparently entered the roadway and was hit by a west bound vehicle on 66.

Investigators say drugs and alcohol were not believed to be factors in the accident.

If anyone witnessed the tragedy, they’re asked to call the Warrick County Sheriff's Office.
