ISP says the probe continues into the death of 11-year-old Camrynn McMichael in Mt. Vernon

The Posey County Coroner says the fireworks death of an eleven-year-old boy was an accident. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:

An autopsy was performed Tuesday following the death of eleven-year-old Camrynn McMichael of Mt. Vernon Sunday night.

Coroner Bill Denning says preliminary autopsy results indicate McMichael died from a head injury due to a firework mortar, and he ruled the boy’s death accidental.

Indiana State Police say the investigation is ongoing.

The ISP says McMichael died while being transported to an Evansville Hospital.
