A Mount Vernon man died in a crash on State Road 57. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:
The Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office identifies the victim as 61-year-old Rodrick Kohlmeyer.
He was killed in a crash at the intersection of 57 and Ruston Lane Thursday afternoon.
Investigators said it appeared Kohlmeyer’s car turned in front of a pickup truck. He died at the scene.
The driver of the truck was taken to a hospital for a chemical test, which is standard in a fatal crash.
The sheriff’s office said alcohol and drugs were not believed to be factors in the crash.
