Students and staff at Reitz High School are mourning the loss of a student. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:
On its Facebook page, the school reported the death of Freshman Kaden Vera.
The teen was the victim of what Evansville Police called an apparent accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Vera was found deceased in the 2500 block of W. Virginia St. Tuesday evening.
Reitz officials asked students and staff to keep his family in their thoughts.
The school is also offering additional counseling for students “as long as necessary.”
