The skeletal remains were discovered last week

Human remains found in Owensboro last week have been identified as those of an Evansville man. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:

The Daviess County Sheriff's Office says the skeletal remains are those of 61-year-old David Jenkins of Evansville.

The remains were found last Thursday in the 1400 block of Pleasant Valley Road in Owensboro.

Sheriff's Deputy Major Scott Wedding said there was no indication Jenkins had been hit by a vehicle or that any foul play was involved.

The Madisonville Medical Examiner's Office was able to identify Jenkins though using a palm print.
