An Evansville man has pleaded guilty to numerous counts of sex crimes against a child. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:
The Vanderburgh County Prosecutor’s Office says 36-year-old Matthew Lee Thomas entered guilty pleas to eight charges, including Child Molestation, Possession of Child Pornography, and Performing Sexual Conduct in the Presence of a Minor.
Thomas also pleaded guilty to four other felonies and one misdemeanor.
Prosecutor Nick Hermann praised Deputy Prosecutor Emily Hall and former Evansville Police Detective Stacy Spalding for their work in the case.
Hermann said they spared the minor a trial.
Thomas will be sentenced in Vanderburgh Superior Court on May 20th.
