Law Firm: Doctor Improperly Sought Information About Women at Evansville Bars

File

Deaconess has sent apology letters

An Evansville law firm says at least a half dozen women may have had a doctor access their personal and medical information without their permission. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

On its Facebook page, Ladendorf Law say it’s been contacted by women in the Evansville area regarding a letter they received from Deaconess Hospital.

The letter stated that a physician had accessed their medical records without authorization or a business purpose.

The law firm says it was determined the physician was a man each of the women had encountered on different occasions at bars on Evansville’s West Side.

Ladendorf said it’s currently pursuing claims for six women.

The firm urges anyone who received a similar letter and would like to discuss it further, to contact Ladendorf.
